參加經典賽（WBC）的韓國隊目前正在沖繩集訓，韓國隊教練團初步規劃斗山熊張元準、起亞老虎梁弦種、LG雙子星車雨燦以及警察廳李帶溵等人將是先發投手的人選，基本上張元準及梁玹種已確定會擔任先發投手。

韓國隊正在沖繩集訓，避免造成投手群過種的負擔，韓國隊取消對韓職二軍的熱身賽，只打對讀賣巨人及橫濱DeNA兩場比賽。由於現在仍處於春訓階段，監督金寅植表示對讀賣巨人之戰會用6名投手輪番上陣，張元準與車雨燦預定各投2局。

而韓國隊陣中的13名投手，效力紅雀隊的吳昇桓預定2月底與韓國隊會合，不少投手調整進度較慢，甚至還沒開始投牛棚，包括牛棚主力林昌勇。

左投張元準效力斗山熊隊，去年戰績15勝6敗、防禦率3.32，是斗山熊能贏得總冠軍的功臣。2013年經典賽在台灣舉行，張元準是對中華隊的先發投手。梁玹種也是名左投，去年戰績10勝12敗、防禦率3.68，中華隊在2014年仁川亞運曾跟他交過手。

金寅植規劃的第三名先發投手是李帶溵，由於李帶溵還沒開始投牛棚，因此要看他的調整進度，如果來不及，將由車雨燦遞補擔任先發投手。如果是車雨燦轉任先發，那麼韓國隊第一輪的3名先發投手都是左投。

以韓國隊這幾名先發投手的狀況來說，中華隊打擊群或多或少都有交手的經驗，因此應能從他們的手中取分。不過第一輪預賽每名投手最多只能投65球，頂多是三至四局，中華隊還是要嚴防韓國隊牛棚各式各樣的投手。
